Why Code Like An Investor?
Conventional wisdom among software engineers is that the more expertise you gain in a certain language or framework, the further you will go. While this sounds reasonable enough on the surface, it will eventually get you stuck in a career rut. Instead of becoming an expert, become an investor.
By becoming an investor, you are in the driver’s seat. You insist on spending your time on technology that yields a return. You get to sample new techniques and design patterns. You stay on top of trends without getting swept away by novelty.
